Michael Walker has served as Managing Partner of Walker Holder Residential, Inc. for the last nine years, specializing in property turnarounds and repositioning of apartment communities. Walker Holder is a third-party management company, and has managed over 15,000 units throughout Texas, including 41 foreclosure takeovers for Fannie Mae. Michael has also served as Receiver on assets for Lenders and Special Loan Servicers and has served as an expert witness in several court cases. Michael is a Past President of the Apartment Association of Tarrant County, and is a Leadership Lyceem graduate from the National Apartment Association, The Greater Dallas Apartment Association, and the Apartment Association of Tarrant County. Michael received his Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1996.
Michael’s deal experience includes the acquisition of 48 apartment communities, land acquisition and construction of 6 apartment communities, and the renovation management on 24 major apartment rehab projects. He has served in VP positions with Simpson Housing, Greystar, Capstone and DRW in a career that has so far spanned 37 years. Michael’s vast experience has seen him involved in every aspect of the multi-family industry, including buying, selling, building, managing, renovating, financing, re-financing, and asset management.
